Conservative Cavity Treatment That Looks and Feels Natural
If you’ve been told you have a cavity—or you’ve noticed tooth pain, sensitivity, or discoloration—it’s important to act quickly. A dental filling restores the damaged part of your tooth before decay spreads or leads to more serious issues.
We use composite resin fillings that are color-matched to your teeth. Unlike metal (amalgam) fillings, they’re mercury-free, durable, and virtually invisible. The result is a healthier tooth—and a restoration you won’t even notice.
Signs You May Need a Filling
- Tooth sensitivity to hot, cold, or sweet foods
- Visible dark spots or holes in a tooth
- Pain when chewing or biting
- Chipped or cracked enamel
- Old fillings that are worn or failing
If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, schedule a visit so we can examine the tooth and recommend the most appropriate solution.
In some cases, if the decay is too large for a filling but not severe enough for a crown, we may recommend inlays or onlays for added durability.
What to Expect During Your Filling Appointment
Dental fillings are one of the most common—and most efficient—procedures we perform. The process typically takes less than an hour:
- Exam and digital imaging to assess the tooth
- Local anesthesia to keep you comfortable
- Gentle removal of decayed or damaged enamel
- Composite filling placement, shaped and polished to match your tooth
- Final bite check to ensure comfort and proper alignment
We take a conservative approach, removing only what’s necessary and preserving as much of your natural tooth as possible.
Our Technology Makes It Better

Do I Need to Replace Old Metal Fillings?
If you have older silver (amalgam) fillings that are cracked, worn, or causing sensitivity, we can replace them with composite fillings or ceramic inlays/onlays for better strength, function, and appearance.
Not sure if yours need to be replaced? We’re happy to assess your existing dental work during your exam and give you an honest recommendation.
